About this tour

Geographical Location of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region lies in South China. It borders Guangdong Province to the east, Hunan Province to the northeast, Guizhou Province to the northwest and Yunnan Province to the west. To the southwest, it shares a frontier with Vietnam, and its southern side faces the Beibu Gulf. Nanning serves as the regional capital, also the start and finish point of our cycling tour.

With the Tropic of Cancer running across its central area, Guangxi features rugged karst mountains, deep river valleys and rolling highland terrain — the perfect natural playground for cycling. Our route explores western Guangxi, close to the China-Vietnam border, passing karst countryside, the Hongshui River basin and the hilly Bama region, showcasing the diverse mountainous landscapes of this frontier zone.

This 8-day Guangxi cycling tour takes you through spectacular karst landscapes, river valleys and mountainous countryside of southern China. Starting and ending in Nanning, you will ride past the famous Detian Waterfall, Bama longevity region and Hongshui River basin, experiencing challenging climbs and breathtaking border scenery.
