An 5-Day Qingjiang Panorama Cycling Journey: Through the Three Gorges of the Yangtze Tributary
Our locally-operated 5-day cycling expedition invites you to discover the stunning beauty of Qingjiang River’s Three Gorges, where emerald waters wind through majestic karst cliffs and traditional Tujia villages dot the landscape. With our experienced ground crew providing support throughout the journey, this immersive adventure combines daily cycling with cultural discovery in one of China’s most picturesque regions.
Activity Focus: A perfect harmony of riverside cycling, spectacular gorge views, and genuine cultural exchanges with local Tujia and Miao communities.
Cycling Core: 5 consecutive days of cycling, covering 202 KM along the Qingjiang River valley.
Route Features: Following the winding Qingjiang River, passing through three spectacular gorges with regular ferry crossings and waterside cycling paths.
Cultural Immersion: Overnight stays in traditional riverside villages, opportunities to experience Tujia folk culture and local cuisine.
Optimal Season: September through November offers ideal cycling conditions with comfortable temperatures and low water levels, revealing the river’s stunning turquoise colors.
Climate Advantage: Characterized by mild winters and cool summers, with particularly pleasant cycling conditions during autumn months.
Accommodation: Carefully selected local guesthouses and comfortable hotels, all offering beautiful river views and authentic cultural atmosphere.

Difficulty Rating: Moderate – Suitable for regular cyclists with good physical condition, featuring some manageable climbs.
Altitude Range: The route spans elevations from 300 to 1,300 meters, with most cycling following the river’s contour through the gorges.

To ensure a smooth and safe journey, we provide full logistical support for groups of up to 12 cyclists:

Luggage limit/person: 1 piece check in and 1 backpack A non-refundable deposit (10%) is required by March 1st. Balance to be paid before one monthbefore arrival.
