Arrive in the historic port city of Shantou, a hub of Teochew culture. Settle in, build your bike, and enjoy a welcome dinner featuring local specialties like oyster omelets and braised goose.

A short transfer brings you to Nanao Island, China's only island county. Today's loop ride is a perfect introduction, featuring lush greenery, wind-sculpted rocks, and sweeping ocean vistas from quiet coastal roads.
Highlight: Qing’ao Bay & the Island Summit. The turquoise waters and crescent beach of Qing’ao Bay are breathtaking. The climb to the island's highest viewpoints offers panoramic scenes of wind farms, fishing boats, and the vast Taiwan Strait.
A challenging and rewarding day. Depart Nanao by ferry to the mainland, then pedal north along the coast. Conquer a series of coastal headlands before crossing the magnificent Eight-Mile Bay Causeway onto Dongshan Island.
Highlight: The Ferry Crossing & the Causeway Arrival. The morning boat ride provides a unique seaborne perspective. The finale—cycling the long, straight causeway with the ocean on both sides, leading directly into Dongshan—is an unforgettable experience.
Explore Dongshan's highlights before heading back to the mainland. The route passes through dense mango and lychee orchards, with quieter roads today. Your destination is the traditional town of Futan.
Highlight: Wind-Made Rock Scenery (Dongshan) & Ancient Futan Town. Marvel at the naturally sculpted granite formations on Dongshan's eastern shore. In Futan, step back in time wandering the well-preserved ancient streets and visiting the historic Zhangzhou Futan Ancient City
The final push to the famous "Garden City" of Xiamen. The ride follows provincial highways, skirting the bustling city of Zhangzhou before crossing the Xiamen-Zhangzhou Bridge—a monumental entry into your final destination.

This is a moderately challenging tour designed for cycling enthusiasts. The total distance is approximately 520km over 5 riding days, following mainly flat coastal roads and gentle rolling hills with a few short climbs. It is suitable for riders with good general fitness and some prior cycling experience. The total elevation gain is 970 meters
The best time is from November to March, when Hainan has cooler, drier weather with lower humidity, making it ideal for cycling

Yes. You are welcome to bring your own bike if you inform us in advance, though we are not liable for damage during transport.
The support vehicle is always available. You are welcome to take a break and ride in the vehicle for any part of the distance. Our goal is for you to enjoy the journey at your own pace.
Our cycling leader/sweeper is a skilled mechanic. The support vehicle carries a full toolkit, spare parts, and tires for quick repairs. If a major issue occurs, a replacement bike will be provided from the support vehicle
You will stay 6 nights in comfortable, clean, and well-located tourist-class hotels (typically 3-4 star equivalent, like the JI-Hotel 全季). Single room supplements are available.
The tour includes 7 dinners and 6 lunches, featuring local Hainan cuisine and seafood. The support vehicle provides ample drinking water and energy snacks (fruit, bars) throughout the ride.
Upon booking, you will receive a detailed packing list. Essentials include cycling clothing (padded shorts, gloves), high-SPF sunscreen, sunglasses, lip balm, personal toiletries/medication, casual evening wear, and a small daypack.
