A flat tire shouldn’t end your adventure. Here’s the essential knowledge and kit we recommend every cyclist carries.

The 5-Minute Flat Fix:

Remove the Wheel: Release the quick-release brake, then the wheel.

Lever Out the Tire: Use tire levers to pry the tire bead off the rim.

Find the Cause: Inspect the tire’s inside and outside for sharp objects (thorns, glass) and remove them.

Replace or Patch: Swap in a new inner tube for speed, or use a patch kit for the old one.

Re-inflate: Use a mini-pump to reach the recommended pressure (printed on the tire sidewall).

Your On-The-Road Repair Kit:

Essential: Spare inner tube, 3x tire levers, mini-pump, patch kit.

Multi-tool: A good multi-tool with hex wrenches, screwdrivers, and a chain tool.

Pro Items: A quick-link for your chain, a small piece of duct tape, and disposable gloves.

We include a hands-on maintenance workshop in all our multi-day tours because confidence to fix a flat brings the freedom to explore further.
